Ask many people what the primary message of the Bible is and the common answers you get are salvation and love. Sadly, these are not correct. They are part of the purpose and message but not the core of it.
In Genesis 1:26–28, GOD gives humanity two roles: dominion (king) and tending the garden (priest). The plan has always been for you to live as a king and priest. In GOD’s economy, money is the fruit – not the goal. It multiplies when you create value that empowers others. That’s not just good business – it’s an act of worship. That means you first intercede for guidance (priestly role) and rule your money (kingly function). Solve problems, not just pray about them. Multiply resources, not just use or maintain them.
The reason you were born is because GOD wants to add you to His family. He is increasing His family and has left the choice to be part of it, in your hands. In other words, He wants to mature your identity as His child. That is the core message of the Bible and the reason you were born. It is GOD’s primary purpose with your life.
The Bible opens with two chapters of earth as a terrestrial extension of heaven. It closes with two chapters where earth has fully become a part of heaven. That symmetry is not accidental. All these four chapters reinforce the same message: you were created as a priest and a king, to rule and expand GOD’s way of life on earth.
What started the drama was man rebelling in Genesis chapter 3 when he disobeyed his creator. The purpose was subverted and the consequences were the unleashing of a curse on the environment. Life would be a lot harder for him. Jesus Christ was born primarily to restore what was broken. Through His teachings He reminded man of the original plan which He called the Kingdom of GOD. His death and resurrection created a path for man, now with a messed up sense of identity, to retrace his steps back to that original calling. Man was created to be a king and a priest in the GOD family. The family of GOD is the Kingdom of GOD.
As a believer, you’re a priest and a king. You’ve probably heard that before but what does it mean in practical terms?
The Truth About Your Royal Identity.
Understand this point first. The rebellion caused by man’s choice to believe the lies of the devil over the truth of GOD led to him becoming a slave of the devil. He lost his identity. Slaves wait to be told what to do while kings make plans and create solutions to expand their sphere of influence. But how do you do that? You align with truth. You believe it as a critical signpost to experiencing the reality of His promises. Your actions put that belief into motion.
GOD’s truth is visible all over creation. It’s embodied in principles. Whether you achieve your goals or not depends on just one thing: alignment with the truth embedded in the universal principles GOD put in place. Put differently, universal principles are the blueprint of how GOD designed life to work. Truth is embodied in principles. Principles operate through systems. Systems unfold through processes. And processes produce results. You have the sequence:
Truth → Principles → Systems → Processes → Results.
If you want to achieve any outcome, first find out what the truth of the situation is. Second, align with those principles through applicable systems and processes. If you don’t align with them, you will fail. Period.

GOD didn’t just save you to go to heaven. He restored you to reign on earth. That means your prayers should be spoken with authority, not desperation. Speak to Him like you’re speaking to your own dad because that is the nature of your relationship with Him. You’re a son to Him. Every father wants the best for his children and it is more so for GOD because the stakes are even higher. [Note that the word ‘son’ refers to your true essence as a human being irrespective of gender. Both men and women are sons.]
Reason 2: You’re Waiting on GOD to Move—When He’s Waiting on You.
The second reason is that many believers are waiting for GOD to “show up.” But He is waiting for you to step up. Breakthrough is rarely about getting something new. It’s about using the authority you already have. You stand in your identity and carry out the assignment given to you. The only way to excel in your job is to fully appropriate the power of your role and deliver the results expected of you. Other managers look at you for direction and guidance. A promotion comes when you excel in delivering the solutions you were hired to produce. In the same way, GOD called you for a specific role and that is the most enjoyable route to your breakthroughs. Deliver the fruits you were hired to deliver.
Jesus puts it this way in John 15, 15 – 16, “15 No longer do I call you servants [some translations use the word ‘slave’], for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
Do you see how answered prayer is tied to delivering the fruits you were born to produce? This ties back to the sequence outlined above:
Truth → Principles → Systems → Processes → Fruit.
First, step into your true identity. Second, produce fruits based on the truth of your nature and assignment.

Prayer is priestly. Action is kingly. You need both. Many Christians forget that prayer is not the only priestly activity. Do you know what gives your prayers more power? It’s the intimacy of the connection and this comes from worship. The deeper the intimacy you have with the LORD, the clearer you can hear Him tell you how to move forward. It’s not about what you want, it’s about what you need. A parent buys what the child needs, not what the shiny toys they’re screaming for.

Third, you operate most confidently and powerfully in your kingly role by first building deep intimacy with the LORD. The best way to bring to others the solutions from the Source is to know and understand the Source intimately. This is your priestly role which gives power to your kingly functioning, Like your two hands, the two complement each other.
That is how you unlock the breakthrough you so desperately desire. What you need is not a miracle. What you need is a transformed belief system – the mindset of a priest and king who understands that aligning with the right principles will produce the right outcomes. That is easiest when fully locked in as a priest through an intimate connection with the Source, the LORD. The root of that intimacy is worship, the posture of surrender and complete reliance on His wisdom.
But how do you get out of your financial quagmire?

You’re not stuck because you’re lazy. You’re stuck because your beliefs and identity aren’t aligned with the truth of how principles work. They follow the GOD of abundance and more than enough but live in lack. There’s a big disconnect there.

If you believe that having money is evil, one of two things is going to happen. You’ll not want to make money and be rich. Alternatively, if you do end up with money, you are going to unconsciously sabotage yourself and get rid of it all.
Always remember, in GOD’s economy, money is the fruit—not the goal. It multiplies when you create value that empowers others.
Many of our money beliefs were formed when we were young. They so happen to be dysfunctional. We picked them up from our authority figures who battled their own money demons. They scolded us for asking for things and constantly reminded us that money doesn’t grow on trees or that rich people are greedy. It matters not why you have the maladaptive money beliefs you have. What matters is that they are the roots that have brought about your poor financial outcomes.
Take a moment and look back at the small financial windfalls you’ve had in the past and ask yourself what happened to that money? Is there anything you can point to that helped you to move forward in a big way? The problem is not so much your actions as it is your beliefs. Fix your beliefs and your actions will fall in line.

Change your beliefs about money and watch how your money situation will improve for the better. The breakthrough you need is not a financial windfall, it is a shift in your beliefs. The long and short of it is that you need to learn how money works and then apply that knowledge to manage it productively. Money is more than just a piece of paper or digits on your banking app, it is far more.
It is a form of energy that can do great things if you understand how to use it correctly. Like fire or electricity, it can destroy you if you mishandle it. It can also bring in great opportunities. The key is learning how it works and that starts with a decision to interrogate your beliefs. Ask yourself this question, “Why has so much money come through my hands and I have so little to show for it?” The answer? It’s because you have a poor understanding of how it can enrich you. The root is your maladaptive beliefs.

To prepare for blessings, start with transformation. Transformation happens when your beliefs, learning, and management align with the royal identity GOD has already given you. Begin by using what you currently have to become better at money management. The foundation for this is aligning your beliefs with the truth of GOD’s promises for His sons who are priests and kings.
Beliefs: Start From Breakthrough, Not Lack.
Many Christians unconsciously pray from lack. But sons don’t beg. Kings don’t plead. Priests don’t panic. Instead of, “GOD, please help me pay my bills.” Pray, “Father, thank You for wisdom and favor. Show me what systems to build, what relationships to pursue, and how to multiply what I have.”
Your breakthrough begins the moment you pray as someone who already has access, not someone trying to earn it. Jesus earned everything for you at the cross. Yours is to claim it and use it for the right assignment to produce the right fruit.
Kings don’t just shout declarations, they prepare. Learning is not a luxury; it’s a requirement. Ask yourself, “What am I learning about financial systems, multiplication, and leadership? Am I being guided by truth or distracted by noise?”
Management is about increasing what you’ve been given, not just preserving it. Most people manage money from fear. Kings manage from foresight. They see it as a multiplication leverage tool.

You weren’t saved to be broke. You were saved to build. Your Father is a creator and so are you. If you channel the resources coming to you to strengthen your solution creating capabilities, you will continue to grow. That requires you to be active on both legs. Be a king who creates solutions that help others in your ecosystem. To do that well, you actively build deep intimacy with your Father. That’s the priestly role. First you strengthen the connection so you can hear Him clearer. Second, you create based on what you’re hearing Him say you need to do.
